On a getaway mini vacation to Maine to visit and old friend, who has a wooden speedboat, we had an impromptu gathering of other boats and a quick photoshoot.
Most images where taken while riding in the back of a speedboat a speeds of 35-40 mph. Constant movement between where I was shooting from and the subject was a challenge. The Canon 7D did well tracking the intended targets.
These images were featured on the WoodyBoater blog, a daily news post about antique and classic boats.
AND – an AMAZING sequence of a powered snap turn by a Chris Craft Racing Runabout – don’t try this at home!
